Hi thank you so much for the service here my 1 year old came in the ambulance I called them because his breathing was not normal in the night. He was checked and given medication and he is doing great now. I thought it was asthma but it was only croup. Nurses were coming in constantly and also doctors. We were checked on constantly and offered water or blanket. We came in and didn’t wait to he seen he was given care immediately upon arrival and we were able to leave quickly. I have never experienced an er visit to be fast and caring. The nurses and doctors were so nice to us so I just want to say thank you so much. Thanks so much for the first responders and the ambulance. Great place very clean great nurses and doctors. I was skeptical because this is located in Baltimore city. Thanks so much

Emma on the 8th floor for the NICU was an absolute gem. The whole NICU team, neurologists, cardiologist, etc did an amazing job with taking care of my newborn daughter. They took a scary situation and turned it into nothing but miracles throughout our process. We couldn't be any more thankful for these group of people. God bless. You will always be appreciated by us!

It will be my last time I take my son there. I’m so frustrated I notice when it comes to special needs to get the proper medical treatment they get over. Especially Non verbal Autistic kids they never further the treatment. Doctors avoid there care X rays MRIs etc. you do not know what’s going on with them because they don’t look in pain they can’t express it. Look deeper before you provide care.

First, I want to say thank you to all the staff who help care for my daughter. It was definitely a rough road but everyone was so caring and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Nurse John Garcia, Claire and RT Katie. They made us feel at ease and answered all our questions. I didn’t get all of the names I would like to thank but this is a wonderful hospital for children. One complaint is a Doctor/nurse whom I’m not going to name right now did not make me, my daughter and husband comfortable. On that note, overall we felt as the staff was professional, patience, and attentive. Thank you!

If I could, I would leave 0 stars. This hosptial has the worst patient care I have ever experienced, especially Dr. Gearhart's assistant that is in charge of authorizatons and so forth. She never got back to me in regards to my sons authorization and when we arrived for my son's surgery, they tell us that they cannot do his surgery due to it being denied by our insurance. NO ONE NOTIFIED ME OF THIS DENIAL EVEN AFTER I REACHED OUT MULTIPLE TIMES TO CHECK ON IT!!!!! THERE WERE NO ACCOMMODATIONS IN REGARDS TO THEIR ERORR. WILL NEVER COME TO JOHN HOPKINS AGAIN!

This emergency room is thus far the worst of them of when it comes to effectiveness and handling things in a timely manner to avoid you from overpaying in the garage because THEY WILL NOT VALIDATE! I had to spend extra charges based on the nurses, doctors, as everyone else strolling in the hallways and calling my son whenever they felt it necessary. I waited 30-40 mins for a prescription that could have been done in a more effective way given they will not validate the parking. I think this is absurd that you honestly have to pay full price when they are seeing your child and again are taking a while. Before leaving I also requested that they give me a call once the results for my son came in. The nurse gave me an hr window yesterday and it’s the following day and I am still her to receive a phone call regarding his results. This is not only frustrating but extremely unprofessional on their end to provide you with a time stamp and not follow up accordingly. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service in the hospital and I will not go to this hospital again. I do not recommend. For faster more effective service I suggest taking your child to their regular physician when parking will be validated and if they say they’ll call you they will.
